In the next couple weeks before the 2014 NFL regular season begins I’m going to spend some time discussing the over/under win totals of for this season (based on Bovada’s odds) and my predictions. Today I’m going to look at the teams in the NFC South. All over/under win totals and odds listed below are via Bovada.
NFC South
Atlanta Falcons – The Falcons finished 4-12 and tied for last place in the NFC South last season. Their toughest opponents outside of the division this season include home games versus Chicago, Arizona, and Pittsburgh with road games at Cincinnati, NY Giants, Baltimore, and Green Bay.
Over/Under win total: 8.5
I can see wins against: Carolina, Tampa Bay (2), Detroit, Cleveland, Arizona
I can see losses against: Carolina, New Orleans (2), Cincinnati, Minnesota, NY Giants, Chicago, Baltimore, Green Bay, Pittsburgh
So my prediction is bet the Under -150
Carolina Panthers – The Panthers finished 12-4 and in 1st place in the NFC South last season. Their toughest opponents outside of the division this season include home games versus Pittsburgh, Chicago, and Seattle with road games at Baltimore, Cincinnati, Green Bay, and Philadelphia.
Over/Under win total: 7.5
I can see wins against: Atlanta, New Orleans, Tampa Bay (2), Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Cleveland
I can see losses against: Atlanta, New Orleans, Green Bay, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Seattle
So my prediction is bet the Over Even
New Orleans Saints – The Saints finished 11-5 and in 2nd place in the NFC South while earning a wildcard playoff berth last season. Their toughest opponents outside of the division this season include home games versus Green Bay, San Francisco, Cincinnati, and Baltimore with road games at Pittsburgh and Chicago.
Over/Under win total: 10.5
I can see wins against: Atlanta (2), Carolina, Tampa Bay (2), Dallas, Chicago, Detroit, Green Bay, Minnesota, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Baltimore
I can see losses against: Carolina, San Francisco, Pittsburgh
So my prediction is bet the Over -140
Tampa Bay Buccaneers – The Buccaneers finished 4-12 and tied for last place in the NFC South last season. Their toughest opponents outside of the division this season include home games versus Baltimore, Cincinnati, and Green Bay with road games at Pittsburgh and Chicago.
Over/Under win total: 6
I can see wins against: St. Louis, Cleveland, Cincinnati
I can see losses against: Atlanta (2), Carolina (2), New Orleans (2), Washington, Chicago, Detroit, Green Bay, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
So my prediction is bet the Under +110
