Minnesota Vikings Analysis…

The Vikings needed a miracle play to defeat the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, and now have to put the emotional win behind them as they prepare for the Eagles.

The Vikings defense was excellent in their first half of the game against the Saints, shutting down New Orleans and intercepting Drew Brees twice. However they struggled in the second half and allowed the Saints to come back from a 17-0 deficit to take the lead.

This time around, the defense will need to be more consistent to give the team a better chance of winning the game.

Case Keenum also played well for the Vikings, throwing for 318 yards, one touchdowns and one interception. If he can play like that against the Eagles without turning the ball over, the Vikings should be able to get the win.

Philadelphia Eagles Analysis…

The Eagles haven’t been given a chance in the playoffs, thanks to the season-ending injury Carson Wentz suffered.

The Eagles went into their game against the Atlanta Falcons as underdogs, which they considered disrespectful since they finished with the best record in the league. They were able to use the slight as motivation against the Falcons, and will likely use it again this week since they are the underdogs in this game.

Philadelphia’s defense stepped up against Atlanta, holding the Falcons to 10 points. Matt Ryan found a few holes and kept his team in it, but the Eagles defense kept him out of scoring range for most of the game.

Philadelphia also did a great job against the run, and held the Falcons to 86 rushing yards in the game. With the Vikings coming to town, they will be required to make sure Minnesota’s running game doesn’t get on track, which will allow them to turn their focus on Keenum.

Nick Foles did a great job against the Falcons, and finished the game completing 23 of 30 passes for 246 yards. If he can be as efficient as he was against the Falcons, the Eagles will have a good chance to win this game.

The pick…

The Vikings should be able to put up a good fight, but the Eagles will surprise them by winning the game. Take Philadelphia +3.

Play: Eagles +3
