T20 Previews and tips

England’s second T20 international with the West Indies is on Tuesday, whilst Australia meet South Africa in the same format, before the World Cup.

West Indies vs. England

West Indies outclassed England in the first T20 international and they are favourites to complete a series win later today.

England will be without their captain Stuart Broad through injury, meaning his series is over.

His fellow quick bowlers in Jade Dernbach and Tim Bresnan were expensive at the best in Sunday’s loss, with Marlon Samuels in particular taking them to the cleaners.

One of the above pair would probably have lost their place in the side, however due to Broad’s injury they could keep their places.

In a pitch that offered something for the spinners, England are likely to select Stephen Parry who impressed in the 50-over format.

West Indies are likely to name the same side that eased past England in the first match, meaning Samuel Badree will continue.

Badree took three early wickets last time out to deny the visitors an early momentum in their chase of over 170.

It’s hard to look past the West Indies beating a depleted England side and sealing a series win before their title defence of the T20 starts next week.

For a long shot back Dwayne Bravo to be the Windes top run scorer, especially if England can get early wickets.

As for an England bet, get on James Tredwell to take the most wickets.

South Africa vs. Australia

Australia won a fantastic test series in South Africa, with Mitchell Johnson in superb form with the ball.

David Warner was a key reason behind their series win, scoring three hundreds from the opening position.

Australia are favourites for Wednesday’s match, especially when you consider the bowlers the hosts will be without.

Dale Steyn and Vernon Philander haven’t been included in the squad, with the likes of Wayne Parnell and Kyle Abbott certainly easier to face.

Warner and Aaron Finch is certainly a powerful opening partnership, with the both bullying England in recent series.

It’s hard to look past an Aussie win given their form, so back them to beat South Africa again.

After touching upon the explosive pair of Warner and Finch, back either of them to top score for the Aussies.

AB De Villiers was in good form for South Africa despite their series loss and I expect him to get the most runs for the hosts on Wednesday.
