Bet On Atlanta Falcons vs Philadelphia Eagles – Betting Picks

The red-hot Atlanta Falcons will be going for their seventh win in nine games when they travel to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles on Sunday, while the Eagles will be trying to snap a two-game losing streak. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 PM. ET.

Before I give my reasoning, let’s look at the odds for this game.

My Pick

After a 3-0 start to the season, which included a victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, many thought the Eagles would be contenders for the NFC East title. Since then, Philadelphia has lost four of their last five games, with their only win coming against the Minnesota Vikings, who are currently in a slump of their own.

I don't see the Eagles defense slowing down the Ryan to Julio connection.

I don’t see the Eagles defense slowing down the Ryan to Julio connection.

Despite their recent struggles, the Eagles still have one of the best s coring defenses in the league, and are holding opponents to 18.1 points per game, which is 6th best in the league. Their offense is still averaging 25 points per game, which is 10th in the NFL.

However, Philadelphia’s passing game has not been very good lately due to rookie quarterback Carson Wentz’s recent struggles. The Eagles are averaging 225.6 passing yards per game, which is 28th in the league.

Atlanta is coming off a win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night, avenging their first loss of the season. As expected, Matt Ryan and Julio Jones led the way for Atlanta in a game that was never really close.

Ryan and Jones will be called upon again to lead the team to victory. Jones, who is still on pace to break the single season receiving yards record, will be able to exploit Philadelphia’s secondary, with two of the Eagles cornerbacks dealing with hamstring issues.

A win for the Falcons will increase their lead in the NFC South, and with teams like the Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints playing better, they can’t afford to lose a game they are expected to win.

The Eagles have fallen behind the rest of the teams in the NFC East, so a division title is almost out of the question. However, they can still try to get one of the Wildcard spots in the conference, but they need to snap out of their offensive funk and play better than they have in recent weeks.

The Eagles also need to get more out of their running backs. The team is currently averaging 107 rushing yards per game, which is putting a lot of pressure on Wentz to try and do it all by himself, leading to costly mistakes. If they can establish the run against Atlanta, they will have a great chance to win.

Final Thoughts…

The Falcons look like the better team, and the Eagles haven’t shown much to impress me lately, so I’m picking the Falcons to win this game and cover.
