Betting On The ATP World Tour Finals – Tips and Odds

The ATP World Tour Finals are underway in London.  The top 8 players from the ATP Tour season are competing in this season ending event.  Well, when I say the top 8 players, I should say 8 of the top 9 because Andy Murray had to pull out of the event due to an injury.  This made room for Richard Gasquet, who actually finished in 9th to take his spot.

The groups are set up as follows:

Group A consists of Rafael Nadal, David Ferrer, Tomas Berdych and Stanislas Wawrinka.

Group B has Novak Djokovic, Juan Martin Del Potro, Roger Federer and Richard Gasquet.

Each group plays a round robin against each other with the top two players from each group moving on to the semi-finals.  It’s there that the top finisher in Group A plays the second place finisher in Group B and vice versa.  The winner of these matches set up the Finals and the title of Barclays World Tour Finals Champion.

Outright Winner Odds

Here are the odds for the outright winner from Bet365.com:

  • Novak Djokovic -110
  • Rafael Nadal +175
  • Juan Martin Del Potro +600
  • Roger Federer +1400
  • Stanislas Wawrinka +2800
  • Tomas Berdych +5000
  • David Ferrer +5000
  • Richard Gasquet +15000

As I said earlier the tournament is underway and Nadal already has two wins, while Berdych, Ferrer, Gasquet and Federer each have a loss and no wins, which puts them in tough to advance to the semi-finals.  I personally like Del Potro at +600 because he has been playing quite well of late and you often see upsets at indoor tournaments, with the Tour Finals being no different.  I would not be surprised to see someone other than Djokovic or Nadal win this event, and Del Po seems to have the best chance.

Bet365 also has Group winner odds, and of course single match odds from each of the matches throughout the Finals.  There are also plenty of prop bets to choose from within the matches such as set betting, number of games in the match props, first set winner, number of sets and much more.
