Indian Premier League preview and tips

The Indian Premier League is half way through the Group Stage and the top three already have a comfortable lead.

Glenn Maxwell has been superb for the Kings XI Punjab and leads all the batting charts, including most runs, most sixes and has the three highest scores this season!

Kevin Pietersen’s time at Delhi Daredevils hasn’t gone to plan so far and he has failed everytime with the bat.

The Daredevils are currently bottom of the league, having lost six of their first eight matches.

Rajasthan Royals vs. Sunrisers Hyderbad

The Rajasthan Royals are well placed to qualify for the end of seasons finals, having won five of their first seven matches.

Sunrisers may sit second bottom, however they have played the fewest amount of matches and qualification is still in their hands.

Shikhar Dhawan is the fifth favourite to top score in the match and despite his average form, there is value in backing the Sunrisers captain.

As for the highest wicket taker in the match, Ishant Sharma is as long as 8’s and with RR likely to block out Dale Steyn, Sharma has chance of knocking a few batsmen over.

Third placed Rajasthan are underdogs to win the win and given the value, I suggest backing them at evens.

Shane Watson’s Royals have been in great form, winning their last four matches and get on them to continue that run this afternoon.

Royal Challengers Bangalore vs. Kings XI Punjab

RCBMaxwell was again brilliant last time out for Punjab, smashing another 90 as the posted 231 for 4 to beat Chennai and remain in first position.

Bangalore lost a ill tempered fixture against the Mumbai Indians last time out, with Mitchell Starc and Kieron Pollard almost coming to blows.

After winning their first two fixtures, Bangalore have since gone on to lose four of five and slip out of the top four.

With Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle on the short side, get on AB De Villiers at 4’s to be Bangalore’s top run scorer.

Although the South African isn’t in the best of form, De Villiers has serious value in comparison to 5/2 with Kohli and Gayle.

Best bet: AB De Villiers top Bangalore run scorer @ 4/1 with Bet 365
