Odds to Win 2015 NFL SUPER BOWL XLIX after week 4

Let’s take a look at the top 6 odds to win Super Bowl XLIX (according to Bet365) and who I think will win based on what I saw in week 4 of the 2014 NFL Season, this is something I will do each week during the season.

Team: current Bet365 odds – weekly result  (season record)

SeattlehelmetSeattle Seahawks: 7/2 – Bye week. (2-1) The Seahawks had the bye week in week 4 to rest up. In their first 3 games of the season the team has averaged 28 points per game and has allowed 22 points per game. They are 2-0 at home and 0-1 on the road. Quarterback Russell Wilson has completed 69% of his passes for 651 yards with 6 touchdowns and 1 interception. Running back Marshawn Lynch has carried the ball 52 times for 234 yards and 3 touchdowns. This week they play at 1-3 Washington on Monday night.

Denver Broncos: 9/2- Bye week. (2-1)  The Broncos had the bye week in week 4 to rest up. In their first 3 games of the season the team has averaged 25 points per game and has allowed 22 points per game. They are 2-0 at home and 0-1 on the road. Quarterback Peyton Manning has completed 67% of his passes for 814 yards with 8 touchdowns and 1 interception. Wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders has 25 receptions for 334 yards. Tight end Julius Thomas has 14 catches for 160 yards and 5 touchdowns.  This week they play at home versus the 3-0 Cardinals.

Cincinnati Bengals: 10/1 – Bye week. (3-0) The Bengals had the bye week in week 4 to rest up. In their first 3 games of the season the team has averaged points per game and has allowed points per game. They are at home and on the road. Quarterback Andy Dalton has completed 66% of his passes for 722 yards with 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. Running back Giovani Bernard has rushed for 3 touchdowns. Wide receiver AJ Green has 12 catches for 233 yards and 1 touchdown. This week they play at struggling 2-2 New England.

SFhelmetSan Francisco 49ers: 11/1 – Won 26-21 vs Eagles. (2-2) The 49ers won an early season crucial game at home versus the Eagles. For the most part the Niners defense shut down potent Eagles offense. The Philadelphia offense only mustered 213 total yards for the game. San Fran went back to the running game, something they had mainly gone away from in the first 3 games. It paid off as the team rushed 42 times for 218 yards on the ground. Frank Gore rushed 24 times for 119 yards and also caught 1 ball for 55 yards and a touchdown. This week they play at home versus the 2-2 Chiefs.

NEhelmetNew England Patriots: 12/1 – Lost 41-14 at Chiefs. (2-2) The Patriots offense was missing for the 2nd week in a row as they were pummeled 41-14 at Kansas City. The team has only scored a combined 30 points in their last 2 games. Quarterback Tom Brady did not have a good game as he completed 14 of 23 passes for 159 yards with 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. He got replaced late in the 4th as the team was getting blown out. The Patriots defense allowed the Chiefs to rack up 443 total yards. This week they play at home versus the 3-0 Bengals.

Green Bay Packers: 12/1 – Won 38-17 at Bears. (2-2)  After struggling in week 3 the Packers rebounded in week 4 with a 38-17 win at rival Chicago. Before the game quarterback Aaron Rodgers told Green Bay fans to relax and he was right on cue at least for 1 week. Rodgers was 22 of 28 for 302 yards and 4 touchdowns with no interceptions. Receivers Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson both had over 105 yards receiving and each had 2 touchdowns. The Packers defense forced Bears QB Jay Cutler in to 2 2nd half interceptions. Green Bay outscored Chicago 17-0 in the 2nd half. This week they play at home versus the 2-2 Vikings on Thursday night.

With a bye week last week there’s no reason to stray away from the Seattle Seahawks as the team to beat. They are the best bet to win Super Bowl XLIX  at 7/2. (Bet365)
