Odds to Win 2015 NFL SUPER BOWL XLIX after week 9

Let’s take a look at the top 6 odds to win Super Bowl XLIX (according to Bet365) and who I think will win based on what I saw in week 9 of the 2014 NFL Season, this is something I will do each week during the season.

Team: current Bet365 odds – weekly result  (season record)

Denver Broncos: 11/4- Lost 43-21 Patriots. (6-2)  The Broncos had their 4 game winning streak snapped as they were crushed 43-21 by the Patriots. The team is 4th in the league in passing yards and 27th in rushing yards. They rank 3rd in points with 30.6 points per game. Their defense is 7th in the league in yards allowed per game and 16th in the league in points allowed with 23.1 per game. This week they play at 0-8 Oakland.

NEhelmetNew England Patriots: 13/2 – Won 43-21 vs Broncos. (7-2) The Patriots won their 5th in a row with a 43-21 demolition of the Broncos in New England. The team is 6th in the league in passing yards and 16th in rushing yards. They rank 2nd in the league in points with 31.2 points per game. Their defense is 15th in the league in yards allowed per game and 12th in the league in points allowed with 22.0 per game. This week is their bye week.

SeattlehelmetSeattle Seahawks: 15/2 – Won 30-24 vs Raiders. (5-3) The Seahawks have now won 2 straight after their 30-24 win versus the Raiders. The team is 32nd in the league in passing yards and 4th in rushing yards. They rank 11th in the league in points with 25.3 points per game. Their defense is 4th in the league in yards allowed per game and 10th in the league in points allowed with 21.8 per game. This week they play at home versus 3-5 New York Giants.

Green Bay Packers: 9/1 – Bye week. (5-3)  The Packers had their bye week last week. The team is 15th in the league in passing yards and 25th in rushing yards. They rank 6th in the league in points with 27.8 points per game. Their defense is 25th in the league in yards allowed per game and 19th in the league in points allowed with 23.9 per game. This week they play at home versus 3-5 Chicago.

Arizona Cardinals: 12/1 – Won 28-17 at Cowboys. (7-1)  The Cardinals won their 4th straight and a big match-up with the Cowboys. They now have the best record in the league. The team is 18th in the league in passing yards and 29th in rushing yards. They rank tied for 14th in points with 24.0 points per game. Their defense is 19th in the league in yards allowed per game and 5th in the league in points allowed with 19.5 per game. This week they play at home versus 3-5 St. Louis.

Indianapolis Colts: 12/1 -Won 40-24 at Giants. (6-3) The Colts found their way back in to the top 6 in odds as they trounced the Giants in New York 40-24 on Monday night football. The team is 1st in the league in passing yards and 11th in rushing yards. They rank 1st in points with 32.2 points per game. Their defense is 18th in the league in yards allowed per game and 18th in the league in points allowed with 23.4 per game. This week is their bye week.

Even though the Broncos were dominated by the Patriots last Sunday I think the they have the offense and defense to make it to the Super Bowl. Peyton Manning took the blame for the loss yet look at his numbers: 34 of 57 for 438 yards with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Most quarterbacks would love to have those numbers on any given Sunday. I think that kind of loss was needed to bring the team back to earth. A motivated Peyton Manning is not good news for the rest of the league. I still think the Denver Broncos are the best bet to win Super Bowl XLIX at 11/4. (Bet365)
